International win for Part Time Lover at Geelong
Apr 17, 2019
Breakthrough wins don’t come in any more emphatic fashion than Part Time Lover’s easy victory at Geelong.
Part Time Lover had shown ability without winning at her first five starts but put the writing on the wall with a solid second at Sale at her previous outing.
Stepping up to 1500m and being ridden in the lead made all the difference to Part Time Lover, who strode a six-length win in the No Fuss Event Hire 3YO Maiden Plate (1500m).
Amazingly, Part Time Lover’s win resonated across international boundaries with the three-year-old’s success touching EZR team member Jadey Pietrasiewicz.
Jadey posted on social media that she had won races with Part Time Lover’s dam in Germany and has worked with Part Time Lover in her time at the Flemington stable.
“It is a small world when you won races with her mom in Germany and end up in Australia with her first foal Part Time Lover at EZR!!,” Jadey posted on Facebook.
“I’m so proud of her first win!! Well done to all!!”
Chris Symons enjoyed a sweet ride on Part Time Lover when guiding her to the easiest of wins, but the ride made up for an annoying situation that arose at Ballarat.
Symons travelled to Ballarat exclusively to ride Part Time Lover but the daughter of Zoustar was a late scratching, which forced the jockey to turn straight around and head home.
Symons was happy to record the win for Part Time Lover’s happy band of owners.
“Great win today and a great win for a terrific bunch of owners,” Symons said.
“They deserve this win and so does she. She has a lot of ability.”
Congratulations to Part Time Lover’s owners and all involved with her thrilling victory.
