Grand broodmare gets another EZR winner at Mornington
Dec 08, 2017
A grand broodmare produced another winner for Ellerton Zahra Racing when All Of Me broke through for a victory at Mornington.
All Of Me is a daughter of Princesa, the dam of Group 2 winners Star Of Giselle and Solicit, who gave Ellerton Zahra Racing many thrills during their time on the track, winning more than $1.5 million between them.
Princesa is also the dam of the stakes-placed Ducal Castle and All Of Me became the seventh winner from the impeccably-bred Danehill mare’s eight foals to race when she score narrowly at Mornington.
All Of Me chased home the subsequent Sandown winner Silent General at her last run at Echuca and the form line stood up in the Mornington Auto Group Plate (1500m).
Linda Meech has booted home a few winners for Ellerton Zahra Racing in recent weeks and did the job on All Of Me, sending the Pierro filly forward to race handy to the speed to the home turn.
All Of Me had to stave off the determined challenge of the runner-up but Meech got the best out of her mount late to score narrowly.
“She had good gate speed. I wasn’t in a hurry to get across and sit outside the leader, but I was happy when she got there,” Meech said.
“When the second horse can up outside her, she gave a lovely kick.
“The form around her was outstanding coming into this so it wasn’t surprising to get the win on her.”
All Of Me’s win cemented Ellerton Zahra Racing’s place in the top four on the Victorian trainer’s premiership after bringing up the stable’s 37th win of the season.
Congratulations to All Of Me’s owners Hesket Bloodstock and everyone involved with the three-year-old’s win.
