SPIRIT OF BOOM has started his stud career in impressive fashion and this filly offered by Ellerton Zahra Racing is bred to be an early runner.
SPIRIT OF BOOM was one of the best sprinters Queensland has produced during his racing days. He was precocious enough to be stakes-placed as a pre-Christmas two-year-old before training on, remaining sound enough to score Group 1 wins in the William Reid Stakes and Doomben 10,000 as a seven-year-old.
By speed sire SEQUALO, SPIRIT OF BOOM was competitive across the country, winning at Group 1 level in Melbourne and Brisbane while competing strongly in Group 1 races in WA ad NSW in a grand career.
SPIRIT OF BOOM has passed his speed, precocity and toughness into his stock. The sire has produced seven stakes winners with six of those two-year-old black type winners and four of those CHAMPAGNE BOOM, EF TROOP, JONKER and OUTBACK BARBIE scoring in pre-Christmas stakes races.
This filly is out of the two-time winner by FASTNET ROCK ,Ramiel, whose other foal to race is a triple winner over 1200m in Victoria. Ramiel is a half-sister to the Listed winner KEYARNA BLUE and her second dam is the stakes winner OH BLUE ANGEL .
FASTNET ROCK mares have done a brilliant job for her sire, producing the likes of SANTA ANA LANE, TIVACI, OMEI SWORD and the two-year-old stakes winner LADY HORSEOWNER and this filly already has a touch of her damsire’s size and presence.
