Nine runners across three states could result in a big day for Ellerton Zahra Racing on Saturday.
The stable will be involved in the opening day of The Championships at Randwick when recent acquisition Flamberge shoots for his fourth Group I win in the TJ Smith Stakes (1200m).
The gelding joined the stable after his dramatic win for Peter Moody in the Group I William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley on March 24 but will compete for $2.5 million in prizemoney nine days after that victory.
Damian Lane will travel to Sydney to Ride Flamberge in the TJ Smith Stakes. Damian rode Flamberge in his Group I Oakleigh Plate (1100m) win on February 27.
Another ex-Moody runner will debut for Ellerton Zahra Racing when Running Bull competes in the Exelsuper Handicap (1250m) on the Morphettville Parks track in Adelaide.
Running Bull finished sixth over 1100 at Bendigo on March 19 but will step up to 1250m for his second-up outing.
Victorian rider Jordan Childs will be aboard Running Bull in his South Australian assignment.
Ellerton Zahra Racing heads down to the Mornington Peninsula on Saturday with seven runners at the Mornington Cup meeting.
Grand campaigner Rough Justice will lead the team in the Listed Hareeba Stakes (1200m) as he aims for back-to-back wins after his success in the VOBIS Gold Eldorado (1300m) at Wangaratta on March 10.
Katelyn Mallyon will ride Rough Justice while she will also be aboard Palace Tycoon when he debuts for the stable alongside Sir Sagamore (Daniel Moor) in the $100,000 Mornington Guineas (1500m).
Face Forward will resume from almost 10 months off the scene in the Building Brands Handicap in which the consistent Rock ‘N’ Gold will also run.
Katelyn will also ride Magna Rossa for Ellerton Zahra Racing in the Cleanaway Handicap (1200m) with Ben Melham booked to partner See Me Fly.
Good luck to all owners on what promises to be a successful day for Ellerton Zahra Racing around Australia.
