Deep Field X Sticky Fingers

1 year old Chestnut Filly

Sire: Deep Field Dam: Sticky Fingers

The stock of DEEP FIELD has been all the rage at Australian yearling sales in 2018 and you’ll know why when you see Ellerton Zahra Racing’s latest ownership opportunity by speed machine.

DEEP FIELD was an unbelievably quick sprinter, breaking a course record at Canterbury over 1100m, clocking 1:03.14 when winning at his third start before going onto win at Group 2 level at only his fifth outing and placing at Group 1 level in the Lightning Stakes soon after.

DEEP FIELD showed all the brilliance of his Group 1-winning sire NORTHERN METEOR during his time on the track and the class of his Caulfield Guineas-winning brother SHOOTING TO WIN while the stallion is closely related to super racehorses DANEWIN, COMMANDS, OCTAGONAL and MOUAWAD among other Group 1 winners.

DEEP FIELD has stamped his stock with a presence that has caught the imagination of buyers from all over the world as his stock has fetched as much as $675,000 in their first season in the auction ring, but Ellerton Zahra Racing secured a bargain in the form of this athletic filly.

By the unraced DUKE OF MARMALADE mare Sticky Fingers, a daughter of the Group 3-placed Money Begets Money, who has produced stakes winner MOQUEEN while she’s also from the same family as CRITERION, the winner of four Group 1 races and more than $7.3 million on the track.
